Our Vision
DD&J Bookkeeping was founded with the belief that small business owners deserve accurate books, clear financial information, and a bookkeeping partner who genuinely cares about their success. As a family-centered firm, we value trust, integrity, personal service, and long-term relationships with the businesses we serve.
Our approach combines formal education in accounting and management, professional bookkeeping training, and real-world financial and business experience.
Founder David Pittack holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Accounting and a Master’s degree in Management and brings several years of experience overseeing financial operations and fund management within a large government organization. That foundation is complemented by QuickBooks training and firsthand experience owning and managing a small business.
In 2022, David, his wife Diana, and their son David Jr. started a family service business. Managing that business gave David practical experience with many of the same challenges our clients face—from managing cash flow and expenses to maintaining accurate records while handling the day-to-day demands of running a business. The business was later transitioned to David Jr., who continues to operate it today.
These experiences helped shape DD&J Bookkeeping. Our goal is to take the stress and uncertainty out of bookkeeping by combining sound bookkeeping practices with practical business experience—giving owners dependable financial records and clearer insight into their businesses so they can make informed decisions and focus on what they do best.
Our Team
David Pittack is the founder and owner of DD&J Bookkeeping and a QuickBooks ProAdvisor certified bookkeeper. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Accounting and a Master’s degree in Management and is an approved California CPA candidate currently pursuing the CPA examination.
David’s professional background combines accounting education, small-business ownership, financial and operational management, and more than two decades of leadership experience. He served nine years in the United States Marine Corps before beginning a long career with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, where he ultimately served as a Lieutenant. His assignments included leading personnel, overseeing operations, working with financial and business functions, managing contracts, and improving internal processes.
David also has firsthand experience building and operating a family service business. That experience gave him a practical understanding of the challenges small-business owners face and ultimately helped inspire DD&J Bookkeeping.
Today, David brings those experiences together to help small-business owners maintain accurate books, strengthen their financial processes, and better understand where their businesses stand. He approaches each client relationship with the same values that have guided him throughout his career: integrity, accountability, service, and a commitment to doing things the right way.

Brian Pittack
Partner
Brian Pittack is a partner at DD&J Bookkeeping and a QuickBooks ProAdvisor certified bookkeeper. He supports the firm’s bookkeeping services and client acquisition efforts, using his training, education, and professional experience to help ensure clients’ financial records are accurate, organized, and easier to manage.
Brian has always been drawn to work that requires accuracy, responsibility, and attention to detail. He served in the United States Navy as a postal clerk supervisor aboard the USS Inchon and later spent twenty-five years as a Radiologic Technologist. Both careers reinforced the importance of dependable systems, careful documentation, and getting the details right.
Bookkeeping was a natural next step. Brian expanded on his professional experience through modern bookkeeping training with the Digital Bookkeeper Association and QuickBooks Online, earning his QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification.
Brian joined DD&J to work alongside his brother and help small-business owners maintain clean, dependable books. His goal is to help clients spend less time worrying about their bookkeeping and have better financial information available when making decisions about their businesses.
