Our Story
David Pittack is the founder of DD&J Bookkeeping and a QuickBooks ProAdvisor certified bookkeeper. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Accounting and a Master’s degree in Management, giving him a strong academic foundation in financial principles, organizational leadership, and operational efficiency.
Before starting DD&J Bookkeeping, David served in the Marine Corps, where he developed discipline, accountability, and structure — qualities that deeply influence the level of reliability and consistency he brings to his bookkeeping work.
He later served in middle management for a large county government agency, gaining extensive experience overseeing operations, managing teams, and improving internal processes. These strengths now help him build stable, dependable bookkeeping systems for small business clients.
In 2022, David, his wife Diana, and their son David launched a small family business that remains successful today. Running a business firsthand — and later transitioning it to his son — gave him a practical understanding of the challenges small business owners face, from navigating cash flow to staying compliant to juggling daily responsibilities. This real-world experience allows David to support clients not just as a bookkeeper, but as someone who has walked in their shoes.
His daughter Jasmine also contributes to the family’s efforts and is part of the inspiration behind DD&J’s commitment to trustworthy, family-centered service.
DD&J Bookkeeping was founded with the belief that small businesses deserve accurate books, clear financial insight, and a partner who genuinely cares about their success.
